Pro Bono Work

At Fernando Legal, access to justice is not a slogan — it is a responsibility.

Leadership in pro bono services

Our Principal, Manoj Fernando, plays a leading role in advancing access to justice across Tasmania. He currently serves as the Chair of the Pro Bono Committee of the Law Society of Tasmania.

We are deeply committed to providing free and low-cost legal assistance to individuals who would otherwise be unable to access quality legal advice. Our pro bono work is driven by a belief that everyone deserves fair representation, regardless of their financial circumstances or background.

Outreach Program

Established to address the critical shortage of migration legal services in Northern and North-Eastern Tasmania, delivering free consultations to regional communities.

Migration Law Clinic

Provides free monthly consultations to university students at UTAS, helping them understand their visa options and make informed decisions.

Information Sessions

Regularly deliver Migration Law Information Sessions across Tasmania to improve awareness and reduce misinformation.

Looking Ahead

Fernando Legal remains committed to expanding its pro bono initiatives, particularly in regional areas where services are limited. We will continue to work alongside the Law Society of Tasmania, community organisations, and government stakeholders to ensure that access to justice is not a privilege — but a right available to all.

Hobart-based law firm dedicated to delivering precise, principled, and client-centred legal representation.
